So long September. Hello October. And so on...

This is tomorrow's show! Be there, unless you have to use a rowboat to get around, cause Mr. and Mrs. Weatherman are saying scary things about the clouds cryin' all over us. Tomorrow, the angels will be bowling, and God will sweat all over the land of New Jersey, but the show will go on.
Friday, this show's in Brooklyn at Party Xpo. Starts at 10. I think we go on at 11 and Banditas are touring from Boston. Radical and fanatical. Not sure how much this show is. I'm gonna say $7? That sounds like a good guess to me.

A real blog coming soon. Not just pictures of flyers and frogs with hats.

Where the streets run wild with Cheese-whiz!

Hey! We're gonna be in Philadelphia tomorrow with the same damned awesome line-up that we played with last night. It's at The Dreamcastle in South Philly. Mike Bruno and the Black Magic Family Band start at 7 PM. Banned Books and Granny Frost are on tour, so if you're in Philly, tell your Philly friends, Chase Utley, and that fieldgoal kickin', garbage pickin', Philadelphia phenomenon to come out to the show. Donations for the road traveled warriors of rock n' roll please...

Let us Dress You/Hug Your Local Door Man/Shows Abound

Hey everyone. My fingers have been off the keyboard this September for the most part. I'm anticipating the weather cooling off, but every time the radio/TV tells me it's gonna be 70 degrees with Fall-like conditions, it turns into an 85 degree sweat fest (and then a tornado touches down in Brooklyn/Queens). NUTTY STUFF.

Is this to blame for the lack of blogging? Sure, I'll blame it on the weather.

But anyway, just got back from a little show we played tonight. Got asked to play last minute at Court Tavern in New Brunswick with SLAW, the Weird Fantasy Band, Black Wine, and the resurrection of Mohawk Barbie. Twas a nice one. AND, someone does need to give the door guy at Court Tavern a hug (only because I want to see if he'll whip out a pocket knife in former mentioned occasion). That gentlemen, for the second brick mower show in a row, didn't believe Kit was in the band, and questioned us MEN if "that person" was in the band. Ummm, yea.

THIS WEEK!
If you're in the NJ area, we're playing this show on Thursday, September 23rd @ Meat Town USA with our buddies Granny Frost from Chicago. Also, Banned Books and Mike Bruno are playing. This show is NOT to be missed.

So without any further add eww.... LET US DRESS YOU. We now have some new t-shirts. Here's a modeling picture!

Oppp, wrong picture.

We have shirts in S, M, L, and XL. Hope you know what those letters stand for. If so, you're in for a treat. Message us if you want to acquire one at vikingoncampus@gmail.com

Also, we have our "Floors" EP up for download over at our Bandcamp website.

Period Girls Stain NYC/Let's Press Some Records

This past weekend, Kit's other band, Period Girls got to rock and roll all over the streets of NYC. First they rocked. Then, they rolled. They rolled from block to block, down dark alley-ways, skinning their knees along the way. They rolled right over the Hudson, and back again. They rolled through Time Square, rolled right over the Major Deegan, rolled through the walls of the Lincoln and Holland tunnels, and rolled right into the arms of authorities, who charged them with excessive rolling, and causing a nuisance. That's how much rock and roll occurred.

On Friday, the Girls played Death by Audio in Brooklyn w/the Weird Fantasy Band, Unnatural Helpers, and Passive Aggressor. Then on Saturday, they got to play with Short Dark Strangers, Methodist, and Savage Pinkos! I must say, Friday's show was fucking great. Saturday, well I was parking the tour car for the band while they played. Were they good? Sure, why not.

So, what's up with brick mower? Hmmm, a new lathe cut 7'' is coming out this fall on Stumparumper Records. The records will be limited to 100, with a newer version of Box Turtle on side-A and a cover of Guided by Voices "Exit Flagger" on Side-B. I'm gonna take a shot and say that'll be out as the weather's getting colder (almost too cold).

That's it for now. Some shows at the end of this month:
September 23rd: Meat Town USA w/Granny Frost (IL) and Banned Books (NJ) in New Brunswick,NJ
September 25th: Dream Castle w/Granny Frost, Banned Books, and Mike Bruno in South Philly, PA
September 30th: Little Richard's w/the Maple Stave (NC) + more in New Brunswick, NJ.
October 1st: Party eXpo w/Divets (RI) in Brooklyn, NY

Also, still looking for some mid-west tour help in IL, WI, MN, PA if anyone's got some suggestions that we haven't unearthed yet.

Here's some pictures of girls at Death by Audio from Labor Day Friday:
